From Wonkette:

" Here's an excerpt from a letter the state of Washington's
Department of Licensing sent to the license plate's seller, explaining
why it was unsafe at any speed:"

The Department of Licensing has received several complaints regarding
your license plate FDUBYA. The personalized license plate committee
reviewed all the documentation and decided to cancel your plate because
the message is offensive to good taste and decency.

And now, behold the obscenity:

It seems in excellent taste to me.

So...
What happened to free speech, then? :D

By the way, I appreciate you taking the time to explain this to me...
I haven't had cable television in almost two years because I think everything on it is stupid and/or depressing...
So a lot of the time I'm totally out of the loop :)

You're not missing much....unless you are waiting on baited breath to see if Michael Jackson goes to the slammer =) Actually I haven't had cable in about as long as that either. But I'm subscribed to a bunch of RSS feeds and it keeps me pretty informed about what's going on.

There are only a few shows that I'm addicted to (Deadwood, CSI:Las Vegas, Six Feet Under) and I can download them off of Bittorrent or rent the DVDs.

I know, same here...
I am a real Law & Order SVU junkie... I miss having cable for that show occasionally... :) But I buy 'em on DVD as soon as they come out, so it's all good. I've been meaning to rent Six Feet Under for a long time, I've heard really good things. Same with CSI, actually :) Never heard of Deadwood though... What's it about?

Deadwood is kind of a western about Deadwood, SD
around 1876 (around the time Wild Bill Hickock was shot). Actually - more of a soap opera than a western (like all HBO shows).

Here's the website (http://www.hbo.com/deadwood/?ntrack_para1=leftnav_category0_show6)

I'm suprised you haven't heard of it. It's the hottest thing going on TV right now. And this season they are probably going to rake in a bunch of Emmy's.

I'm also interested in the show because my parents live about 20 miles from Deadwood SD (and so I visit it all the time when I'm home seeing them).

Like I said, I'm totally out of the loop (and I kind of like it that way) I have yet to see Desperate Housewives, the OC, American Idol... or any of the other stuff on TV right now. All my friends telling me I'm missing out, but... I don't feel like I am... :D

LOL....you are free to say whatever the Man tells you to say. Check out A People's History of the United States (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0060528370/qid=1118279899/sr=8-1/ref=pd_csp_1/002-2990515-4171228?v=glance&s=books&n=507846) sometime if you're bored and in the mood to get pissed off.
