School Opens for Victims of Bullying
Wow...this is weird
It might be a good thing....but it seems like a very naive social experiment. I don't see that there would be anything preventing the victims from turning into oppressors, given the chance. And I don't know...it seems okay for hs, but eventually you're going to have to deal with the assholes of the world that don't like you because you dress funny or are gay or are just different from the herd. Wouldn't it be best to deal with bullies when you are young?
This is the same reason I feel funny about home schooling too. The public education system might be fucked up, and there are a lot of kids who have been home schooled and scored perfect on the SAT, but our world is fucked up as well and you can't create a safe little coccoon for your child for their entire lives. Eventually they need to get knocked around by reality.
And Kate Bush fucking rocks.....I need to get more of her shit.

I absolutely agree with you. The school will stratify in some way or another. The harsh reality is that there are bullies that never outgrew highschool, and it's highly likely you'll end up working for or with one of them.
Now, teaching kids coping mechanisms, THAT would be innovative. Confidence building in the classroom - hey, what a novel idea! But I suppose most of the teachers barely have time for that since they've got classrooms filled with kids and a stupid cirriculum set by the Bushy administration that they have to teach to so that kids do well on standardized tests and the school doesn't loose any more of it's funding.
Oh, and homeschool, (ok, I've known 1 person who was an exception to this, but only one) serves to socially retard children and severly damage their ability to function once they're out of home school. Bigger handicap than a crappy public school as far as I'm concerned.
I think the experiment is going to fail, Tyler.
