Okay - so the other healer who was also a nurse. Why was he a war criminal again? He was working in a clinic in Rwanda. A bunch of soldiers bring villagers to his clinic. Their President gets assassinated, and the soldiers go berserk and start machine-gunning the villagers. The doctor is guilty because he didn't try to stop them? What the hell was he supposed to do? They would have killed him too. He did not lure the villagers to the clinic. And he didn't pick up a gun and join in. I mean I know the subtext of this episode is that poem about Nazi Germany, - "First they came for the Jews, and I did nothing. Then they came for...." But can we get real. Who knows how anyone would act if they were put in a situation where the government falls apart and just goes completely insane, and everyone is killing everyone in the streets. I thought Tom was being a completely judgemental asshole throughout this episode.
Danny just reconfirmed my original opinion of him being a choad. Can something bad please happen to him? I know it must totally suck to be related to Shawn and Kyle, who are much better looking, smarter, and more socially adept than you will ever be. And yeah...it sucks that Shawn fucked your gf. And yeah....it really sucks you couldn't get abducted and get cool super powers like Shawn. But dude....you are really annoying to be around. Rampaging Napoleonic complexes cannot be allowed to run unchecked.
So I have been thinking about the motives behind the 'future people' sending the 4400 back. I think there is a war going on - and they discovered how to do the time travel thing - and now the war is moving into the past and being fought here. But it does make me wonder who is being used by which side? Kind of get the feeling that Maia/Kyle might be working as the finger puppets for the good guys. I know Kyle assassinating Jordan looks kind of evil - but Jordan was seriously moving the 4400 to Jonestown land and I didn't like how he surrounded himself with the SS goons which were everywhere. So I can't help but think his death was something of a positive. And whoever in the future is responsible for the Liv/Richard Omen Baby cannot be a very nice person, because that child was just BORN BAD.
Kind of excited to see the actor who played Jack McCall and later George Hearst's serial killer psychopathic henchman in Deadwood is now Shawn's right-hand man. Ooooh....that guy can be creepy. He looks better in a Victorian three-piece + bowler with a full beard and a straight edge in his hand, however. I just have a nasty feeling he is not playing a good guy here. He is way too politically saavy for that.
Current favorite relationship: Diana/Maia/April trying to be a happy family. Oh...I also like Alana/Tom thing and want to see more of her. Also - there is still the question of who is controlling the 4400. I think there might be different groups, and I don't really think they all have the interests of humanity at heart. I really really want Alana to be one of the good guys though!
Favorite potential relationship: Diana/Marco because she's really hard up, and he's really sweet - and he has pretty much fallen for her anyway.
