Number of books I own:
Okay....lost a lot between the move up to Washington. And I'm counting stuff that is in boxes in South Dakota. But around 200 right now. (*sigh* - how PATHETIC is THAT!?). I want to cry. Moving sucks.
Last book I bought (I bought two of them):
A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Guin
Night Watch by Terry Pratchett.
Last book I read:
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Five books that mean a lot to me....
Synners by Pat Cadigan (the greatest cyberpunk writer of all time). Oh I should say that Pat Cadigan was my first introduction to the genre of cyberpunk. I didn't realize until years later how awesome that was.
Watership Down by Richard Adams
Trouble on Triton by Samuel Delany
The Making of the Atomic Bomb by Richard Rhodes
The Gunslinger (Book I of the Dark Tower series). by Stephen King. *sigh* - books I-IV actually belong here but I have to choose just one so I picked the best. I am honestly trying to purge my memory of books V-VIII. King had some emotional problems (involving getting clocked with an SUV) that really fucked up his writing. An addiction to Oxycontin might have had something to do with the reason he totally sucks now too. Because if your're a fat old junky - being a complete fuck-up comes with the territory! Anyway....as you can probably tell I am not in anyway bitter about him flushing the Dark Tower series down the toilet. If you're going to start the series - be prepared in the first novels to find yourself in the coolest fantasy world you have ever experienced. And just forget that he wrote anything after those 4 novels. Trust me - you'll be better off.
Okay...next victim:
