Is on USA right now. This is how bored I am.
The wind is blowing REALLY hard now. I took Ebony out to potty and the moment she gets into the yard her ears perk up and she starts growling. Ebony is my mountain lion detector - so we both go inside quickly. With the wind howling through the trees and the dust blowing and the dog growling - it soo felt like the start of an X-Files episode.
So apparently (I don't know if it's true or not) but many Sioux will not go into Custer state park after dark. Not because of it's name - but because the wind howling through the trees sounds like spirits wailing or something. I think parts of that park used to be burial grounds for the Sioux too - so that's also part of the reason. Anyway....I can definitely see how one could become a little spooked. The wind is hot and dry like the Santa Anas - but there are trees everywhere here instead of concrete - and it makes a really mournful lonely sound.
