This is too much....is there anything this OS doesn't suck at? From the article:
Are you using Windows Vista? Then you might as well know that the licensed operating system installed on your machine is harvesting a healthy volume of information for Microsoft. In this context, a program such as the Windows Genuine Advantage is the least of your concerns. In fact, in excess of 20 Windows Vista features and services are hard at work collecting and transmitting your personal data to the Redmond company.
A better question might be - what can this operating system do correctly?
As soon as I get everything backed up on my hard drive - I'm installing Ubuntu. Bye bye Microsquish....it's been good to know you =)

To other computers on the network, it looks just like a windows machine. Also - it can understand most windows files. Like if you make a spreadsheet with Microsoft Excel - you can open it on linux with Open Office. Open Office is available on windows too and I've been using it for the past 5 years because I think it's actually better than MS Office.
The only place Linux starts to become painful and you have to be sort of a geek is when you put it on your laptop. Then there can be some problems which it can be a little challenging to work through and you may need to go online and ask around in newsgroups.
