LJ did, however, make this post apologizing to its members. Granted, I'm still cynical about it, we'll just have to see how they deal with the aftermath, but at least they finally did something, eh?
That's SOP when a company screws the pooch...trot out the old white guy to release a press statement and apologize.
Berkowitz didn't deny the WFI connection, just said some group from outside LJ lodged complaints. Which confirms it for me. But I'm curious about how such a shady group could have such an overblown impact on LJ.
I bet it's some young new hire who was being an idiot and who they trusted with too much responsibility.
