I could submit this question to their support forums...but somehow I doubt that the response I would get would be favorable:
"Hey Microsquish,
Much thanks to the anonymous geek within your organization who wrote that cool vbs script for changing the serial number on a XP Pro installation.
So I was wondering. I have a laptop which I am attempting to install a pirated copy of XP Pro on. It came with XP Home edition, which I don't want
to rely on because the laptop I have didn't come with the installation CD and I like the pro version better. Anyway, my pirated version is older
than the crappy Home Edition version on my computer so the install CD won't work. Is there an easier way to install the pirated version, than busting out my
old win 98 cd and then installing the XP Pro pirated CD? Because this way is really slow and annoying.
Also - could you please keep a list of known pirated serials on your website so I can download them and check them against the ones I'm getting
off the Internet? That vbs script for changing the serial is really great - but I don't know if I have a pirated serial that you don't know about
until my laptop phones home to download service packs and such. And I would like to hack the script and automate the process
of updating my serial #.
Thanks a bunch!
