A review of a new book documenting the creepier cults currently in existence in California
Man, I cannot imagine how torturous the research must have been for this book. Eventually I think the mind would break down when confronted with all of that fruitloops with windchimes and power crystal action. Makes me homesick for California as I remember it when the millenium changed. I remember walking near the Huntington Beach pier with my sister and watching some guy wearing a turban bowing in prayer before a stop sign and attempting to proselytize passers-by with the knowledge that space aliens were coming to abduct them when the millenium changed, and as he had already been abducted once or twice, there was nothing to worry about.
