It's not just finding out what my bookmarks are. If you wanted that I could email you the text file. You have a bookmarks file which you share with the site, and you get to check out the bookmarks of other people who have the same bookmarks as you. It's going to be a fairly interesting person that has bookslut.com bookmarked or the website of some of your favorite writers, so you can spend hours getting lost in other people's bookmarks.
It kind of works the same way the original Napster used to work (except that you're not sharing MP3s). Or the way Launchcast used to work where people could create their own internet radio stations and other people could subscribe to them (which they had to stop because the RIAA fuckers do not want listeners programming their own stations because it takes away their ability to pump lame ass bands down your throat).
