Salon article on Joe Lieberman

The article is pretty dry...but what hit me is the following:

In an interview widely publicized on liberal blogs, Lieberman appeared Feb. 11 of this year on Sean Hannity's radio show. Reminded of his pledge to appear on the show once a month, and asked by Hannity if he wanted an endorsement from the controversial radio host, Lieberman laughed, and replied, "Well, you know, it's good of you to ask me in private like this. ... Let me just say, I appreciate your friendship, and I appreciate your support. Really. ... Look, I've always gotten elected by people from all parties. Now if there's a Democratic primary against me, which there might be, I might ask you to come in and endorse my opponent."

I totally did not know he was that chummy with someone like Sean Hannity. And this asshole is walking around calling himself a liberal? He's one of the biggest voices in the mainstream leadership of the DNC. Why don't we just drop the farce of this country having two political parties and just merge them into one Pro-Corporate party? To have a voice, you have to own a corporation. If you don't, you're shit out of luck. At least it would be honest, and we wouldn't have to put up with this crummy facade of running a real democracy.
