Which woman do you find the most attractive?

New Scientist article discussing research correlating estrogen levels in women with their attractiveness to the opposite sex. The picture above is a computer generated composite image of 10 women who took part in the study. One is of the women when they were at their peak estrogen levels (when they were at the point of ovulation in their menstrual cycles), and the other is when they were at their lowest.

So I picked the woman on the right.

I was supposed to pick the woman on the left. Most men picked the woman on the left.

And I can kind of see now how the woman on the left has flushed cheeks and better color, whereas the woman on the right is pale and wan. But I like pale and wan dammit!

Anyway...in other news Judo was kind of interesting today. I was sparring with this short chubby Japanese kid who got close to me and threw me in a perfect judo throw so I was flat on my back. Didn't knock the air out of me, but at least now I know what it's like to be thrown for real. Short and chubby seriously seems to be the ultimate build for a judo champion.

Little punk then went around throwing everyone in my class...including one of our instructors who is a black belt (only first degree...but still).

I'm hoping to spar with him again on Tuesday. He has some serious moves on him.

Anyway....I came close to throwing a couple of people but I lack confidence I guess (like almost everyone else) so I freeze up. And I hate taking it to the mat and doing the grappling stuff so I usually tap out if this happens.

This break I think I'm going to order a gi online so I can go to the judo club. Also - ummm....I just noticed the brown rust stains on the ones the university provides for us are actually old bloodstains. Which is kind of cool...but a little scary.

Anyway...judo is a lot of fun but I'm scared of broken bones and things. I suppose I could take a broken arm or clavicle...but not keen on having my knee dislocated or having metal pins stuck anywhere in my body =( This latter happened to one of my instructors once in practice. It doesn't seem to be a common occurrence at judoclub though...so that's good. Usually as far as it goes is broken toes and fingers.
